Job Description

When I first signed up for Visions I did it with no idea what to truly expect. At the time I thought I had an idea. I would soon find out that I was a fish out of water. Early on I  could see that I would have a lot of responsibilities. Growing up I helped work in the hospitality department at my church so I figured it would be a lot of serving. I never thought of the outreach side of things. I am lucky to be underneath Adrienne who just helped my new found position. She has been a great help to me. At first in class I felt a little over whelmed by my first week duties until Adrienne told me to take it slow its just the first week. That’s when I took a deep breath and really looked at things and my duties. I feel that they will be challenging but at the end it will be very rewarding. I hope to build on my public relations skills I can be a people person but sometimes I get a little awkward so I am hoping to smooth out that edge. I also am looking forward to getting better at corresponding by e-mail. I never really got into the craze of e-mails so I didn’t start using one until college. I know its kind of weird. The main thing I’m hoping to learn more about is the film festival community that we have in Wilmington and meeting the people that want to attend the festival and the artists that have works in the Festival. I am just all around excited to see the class unfold.
