Week 11 Blog

The past week was eventful the first thing I made sure to do was to get the fabric for the screens I will be making. I reached out on the staff page and Mariah let me know we would be able to find access to a sewing machine. I feel like I might need to go get another strip of fabric. Another thing I did was make sure Carson found out what access we have to projectors and screens. I want to have access to 3 in order to make the full vision come to life. Another big thing I did was help Rob with the e-mail to get the very last screeners. Then my big duty for this week kicked in. I began to edit the trailer for this years festival. I tried my best to model it like the one for visions3. I really enjoyed the act of taking select clips for the trailer and putting them together. It took me quite a while to get to a draft that I was willing to preview with the directors. I made a few renditions of the trailer and I hope my latest one is satisfactory. I also made sure to make a blurb for the live art installation so the Vicky can get the recognition she deserves. I also made sure to e-mail Chip Hackler in order to insure that we could meet for moderation during the festival. He seems very personable and I am excited to correspond more with him. I also insured that we would be present in a few classes in the coming weeks.

Week 10 Blog

This week has been an eventful week. The first thing I have learned is that corresponding with someone over seas can be very complicated. Vicky has been working alot so we have been getting together over a google doc. Vicky is very excited and has given a lot of ideas as to what we can add to the installation. We have come up with a lot of stuff that will be in the presentation for next week. I have been getting in contact with Helen who worked with me on my first installation to find out what the original dimensions were for the first screen. I plan to make these two a little larger to make them closer to the size of a standard projection screen. I have also met with Carson to talk tech for the installation and gave him a heads up of what will be needed. I have also been helping Rob gather the submissions for the festival and preparing to make the trailer for this years festival. I also made sure to get the new welcome for the program so that Zoe can look over it. I have also proof read for Zoe on various press releases and e-mails as a fresh set of eyes. I have also talked to Ora about getting Tyesha to the festival. She said she is trying but at times can be hard to reach. However I am keeping my head up.
